Over a decade ago, D'mitri Richardson pioneered the transition of floor traders to screen-based trading in Chicago. This experience, coupled with the growing demand from mid-level prop trading firms and FinTech companies, led him and a team of traders and technologists to establish their own consulting firm.
Concurrently, D'mitri embarked on a deep dive into the trading methods of W. D. Gann, spending over 20 years researching and teaching these techniques. As the trading industry became increasingly regulated and institutionalized, the demand for Gann's methods, often at odds with traditional approaches, grew exponentially.
So, in 2017 D'mitri spun off Arcanum Market Research to exclusively focus on developing and teaching market analysis and trading strategies based on the original, timeless, unpublished trading methods of W. D. Gann.

D’mitri Richardson, CMT, is widely recognized as a leading authority on W.D. Gann’s classical methods, having spent more than two decades decoding and systemizing Gann’s original work. As founder of Arcanum Market Research, he specializes in translating Gann’s writings into precise, rule-based trading strategies and modern analytical frameworks. In addition to his research, he consults on the buildout and modernization of institutional trading desks, integrating advanced analytics and machine learning into professional trading environments. He holds a Master’s degree from Trinity University, a Bachelor’s from St. Xavier University, is a Chartered Market Technician (CMT), and holds a Microsoft Azure AZ-900 certification.
