TRADING W. D. GANN'S WHEAT MECHANICAL METHOD
Like the Mechanical Method on the SP 500 futures, W. D. Gann's Wheat Mechanical Trading Method works without astro. Gann left his students the option of adding the Arcana Trend as a long/short filter.
Gann's original Wheat Mechanical Trading Method is our most recent mastery. Almost 100 years old, this trading strategy appears the most robust of the mechanical methods so far. No wonder Gann wrote more about wheat that soybeans or the other ags. The Wheat Mechanical Method also contains a pyramiding technique with rules distinct from the runner contract.
W. D. Gann's original Mechanical Wheat Trading Method is taught in its entirety in our "W. D. GANN: MASTER THE MARKETS" Training.
2022 WHEAT BACK-TESTING
Click to expand this graph of results for Gann's Mechanical Method on Wheat for the first 8 months of 2022. The wheat market presents calmer, less-volatile trading the other markets, and this trading method is confined to US regular-session hours. The back-testing below was conducted using the lowest quantity possible. One contract for the initial target trade, one lot for the runner, and pyramiding was done in increments of one.
Also like the "Mechnanical Method on the SP 500," Gann intended Wheat Mechanical Method to be a self-contained trading framework. Like Soybean Mechanical, the framework and method itself generated exact stops, targets, and signals. This allows the market to dictate the duration of each trade, ranging from same-day to 1 month.
