W. D. GANN'S LAW OF VIBRATION
What W. D. Gann called the 'Law of Vibration' formed both as foundation for his unified market theory as well as a formula to project prices and turn times. This law served as the framework through which Gann determined the specific vibration of each market and time frame he traded. By applying the Law of Vibration, Gann identified specific mathematical properties for each market, which became the basis for his projection of cycles, trend, price, and time projections that became unique to that market. The Law of Vibration is integral to nearly all of his trading techniques. Gann also used the Law of Vibration as a precise mathematical formula to calculate future highs and lows of price swings. (see below)
In the above picture, we employ Gann's Law of Vibration mathematical formula for the SP 500 to specifically pinpoint the lowest price for pullbacks from new highs. See our examples of Law of Vibration applied to cycles, trend prediction, and trading strategy.
Gann's Law of Vibration is related to the numbered squares Gann published pictures of in his books and courses (way beyond the 'square of 9.') The mathematical formula behind the Law of Vibration that accurately projects price and time in each market is broken down in detail in our "W. D. GANN: MASTER THE MARKETS" Training.
In the gallery above, W. D. Gann's Law of Vibration is applied in the calculation of three different techniques that he used in combination to accurately pinpoint the time and price of Lows of the Day (LOD) and Highs of the Day (HOD). Each day incorporates the Wheel of 24, Law of Vibration price projections, and the Range Finder, working together to deliver precise accuracy. These techniques cross-check each other to ensure reliability. Scroll through the gallery above and click to expand the images. Gann used the confluence of all three methods to precisely identify and verify price levels.
Gann's price and time projections integrated the numbered squares and wheels with the Law of Vibration as he projected specific targets and bounces. Gann always used these projections within the context of the background of trend, and incorporated unique trading rules for entry and targets. The mathematical formula for the Law of Vibration formula and all of its applications are taught in their entirety in our "W. D. GANN: MASTER THE MARKETS" Training. Our own proprietary LOV software for simplifying price and time projections is also included.
